We know that choosing the right school for your child can often be confusing and time consuming, so we try to make the process here at The Oratory as enjoyable and straightforward as possible.
Step One: 13+ ISEB Common Pre-Test
Registered students will be invited to take part in the ISEB Common Pre-Tests, which will take place at your child’s school when they are in Year 6. This is usually in the Autumn Term but can be taken up until 30 June. You can find out more information about the ISEB Common Pre-Test on the ISEB website.
There is no charge to parents for your child to take this test and the ISEB Common Pre-Test will help us in a number of ways:
Step Two: Assessment Day
All students applying to The Oratory School are invited to attend our Assessment Day after sitting the Common Pre-Test. This includes an interview with a member of the Senior Leadership Team and participation in observed group activities with fellow students who are also keen to join The Oratory.
Offers of a 13+ place are made following the assessment day in Year 6 and accepted by payment of a deposit to secure the place.
Step Three: Optional 13+ Scholarship Assessments
These optional scholarships assessments are in Academic, Art, Drama, Music and Sport, all of which are held in the Spring term of Year 8.
