LAMDA at The Oratory - Michaelmas Term Results
A small cohort of Oratory pupils received their LAMDA exam results at the end of Michaelmas term 2024, yielding 2 Merits and 4 Distinctions. Huge congratulations to them all!
To ensure our LAMDA teaching is as rigorous as it is inspiring, Clare Farlow, our LAMDA instructor, often considers the following question:
What has LAMDA (Speech and Drama) done for you?
Bonnie started studying for LAMDA Exams in Year 4 of prep school, and last summer she achieved a Distinction for Gold Medal Solo Acting. Here is Bonnie’s response:
"LAMDA has had such a significant impact on my life, helping me grow in confidence while developing essential communication and public speaking skills. It has shaped me into the person I am today, providing not only valuable UCAS points for university applications but also the opportunity to preform alongside friends as well as individually, which has been such an inspiring and enjoyable opportunity, enhancing my teamwork and personal growth.
A huge part of this journey has been made possible by the incredible support of my LAMDA teachers, whose kindness, dedication and talent has been truly inspiring. They have not only helped me into mprove my performance skills but have also encouraged me to believe in myself.
Through LAMDA, I’ve developed lifelong skills that will continue to benefit me in my academic, professional, and personal life. This journey has been incredibly rewarding and has prepared me for the future and I will forever be grateful for everyone who made my LAMDA journey such an enjoyable experience."
