Random Acts of Kindness Day 2025

Monday 17 February recognises 'Random Acts of Kindness Day'. As students and teaching staff begin their half term break, let us still take time to consider this day as we go about our daily lives...

Kindness is not always what we think it is. Sometimes being kind can make us feel good, but sometimes being kind is challenging and can be really tough and scary.

Genuine kindness is about being the person and the change you wish to see in others, and it’s not a one–off event. It’s a commitment to a life of being aware of the impact our words and actions can have on those around us. It’s about listening to our intuition and standing up for something we feel and know to be right. It’s about recognising the fragile humanity in another and behaving in a way that makes those around us feel important, seen and valued. It’s about showing ourselves the respect and care we show others, and it’s about building awareness and understanding of what others may be experiencing.

True kindness is ALWAYS about doing the right thing.

True kindness is about Love.
