Oratory Student voted runner-up in the Henley Herald's 'Young Sporting Superstar Award 2025'

The Oratory is delighted that Millie has been voted runner-up in the Henley Herald's 'Young Sporting Superstar Award 2025', having been nominated by her team at Henley Hawks Netball Club.

This accolade, in memory of Simon Priestley - an all-around natural athlete and dedicated Henley Hawks team player for 18 years — celebrates rising stars aged 11–18 excelling in their chosen sport.

Lou Porter, Henley Hawks Coach says, "Millie is a shining example of what this award represents. As a young talent who transitioned seamlessly from Hawks Youth to Hawks Women, she has quickly become an invaluable asset to Hawks 3 in the MDNL league. Her remarkable skills and dedication were pivotal in securing the team’s promotion to Division 2 this season.

Millie’s journey has been nothing short of inspiring. Her hard work and positive attitude have not only boosted her confidence but also motivated her teammates to strive for excellence. Whether on or off the court, Millie embodies the true spirit of Hawks, making her a deserving contender for this award."

Victoria Watson, Head of Oratory Netball and Hockey adds, “I am very proud that Millie has been voted runner-up in the Henley Herald’s ‘Young Sporting Superstar Award 2025’. At school, Millie continues to lead the 1st VII Netball team and shines on the court as GA. Millie is also a competent 1st XI Hockey player, and has represented The Oratory in both boys and girls’ cricket matches, captaining the U14A cricket team in 2021.”

Congratulations to the Young Sporting Superstar winner of 2025, Ben Sleet, for WCMX Wheelchair MX. In 2022, Ben became the first UK male to land a backflip in a wheelchair! #OratoryRespect
