Claire Fahey, Head of Oratory Racquets, wins 2025 US Ladies Open Singles Real Tennis Title

Claire Fahey, Head of Oratory Racquets, continued her dominance in Ladies’ Real Tennis with a strong display at last week’s US Open in Philadelphia.
Fahey, the reigning Ladies Real Tennis World Champion, beat Lea Van Der Zwalmen 6/4 6/0 in Sunday’s showpiece final. It was her 45th major singles title and 11th US Open title. In a competitive first set, Fahey overcame a slow start and finished the set with real authority before whistling through the second set in impressive style. Adapting to the tough conditions of the Philadelphia court, Fahey’s all round game was difficult for Van Der Zwalmen to break down.
Speaking after the final, Fahey said: “It has been a great week in Philadelphia and I am really pleased with how I played. The court is bouncier than most and so it does take some getting used to. Thank you to everyone for the support”.
Fahey, a 7 time World Champion, will be looking to defend her title in May at The International Tennis Hall of Fame in Newport, Rhode Island.
