A wonderful performance of ‘Songs from Les Misérables’ by Oratory Music took place on Thursday 23 January.
On Friday 17 January, Dr Julian Murphy, Head of The Oratory School, announced his decision to step down from his role as Head, effective from Wednesday 2 April, to focus on family priorities. For the remainder of this Lent term, Mr Matthew Fogg, formerly Senior Deputy Head, will serve as Acting Head, taking on the role of Headmaster of The Oratory School from Thursday 3 April.
On Friday 14 February at 7am, for 24 hours, FitzAlan Prefects, Housemaster and Resident Tutor will embark on a fixed wheel cycle ride to raise funds for the MS Society.
L6th Form Oratory Art enjoyed a fantastic quadruple exhibition day at Tate Modern on Friday.
During the Christmas holiday, Oratory Golf enjoyed a tour of Portugal.
Captain Tappan praised The Oratory School 1st XV’s ‘heart and passion’ after they snatched Berkshire County Cup silverware with a dramatic 14-13 victory against Reading Blue Coat on Wednesday 10 December.
The Oratory School hockey 1st XI sealed a fourth straight Berkshire Schools’ League title following a 2-0 win against Holyport College.
The annual Oratory Rugby Club dinner took place on Saturday evening, celebrating a season that sees our 1st XV and U14s through to the finals of the County Cup tomorrow in Maidenhead RFC!
A wonderful Oratory Hockey dinner took place on Friday, celebrating a season that’s seen a double Berkshire League win for our 1st and 2nd teams - an incredible fourth time in a row for the 1st team!
This week is National Grief Awareness Week 2024 and the theme this year is ‘Shine a Light’.
Well done to Archie in L6th Form who competed in the U18s National Schools Real Tennis Singles Championships at Hardwick Estate on Wednesday 5 December.
