Congratulations to Nathan in U6th Form who has received his Duke of Edinburgh Gold Award Achievers’ Tie.
Over the past two years, Nathan has completed his Duke of Edinburgh Gold Award, which has involved 12 months of volunteering at Woodcote and Pangbourne Primary Schools and physical activities such as running, cycling and rowing. Over the last 18 months, Nathan has also completed his Skills section of Music with trumpet playing and singing, a 5-day residential at Trewern Outdoor Centre which incorporated caving, gorge walking, climbing and a Night Walk and an expedition to the Brecon Beacons, including completing the Brecons’ Horseshoe on the final day!
Nathan says, "I enjoyed the challenges of DofE and the opportunity to meet those challenges through teamwork, volunteering and sustained effort. The satisfaction of achieving the goals I had set myself was immense."
