The Oratory School's Inaugural Old Oratorian (OO) Netball Event
On Saturday 20 April, we proudly hosted our inaugural Old Oratorian (OO) Netball event.
It was wonderful to welcome our former Oratory girls back onto to the netball court to challenge our current 6th Form team in a match, which concluded with a narrow victory for our 1st VII despite unexpectedly chilly weather conditions. Following the game, everyone retreated to the Adam Room for a well-deserved Match Tea, providing an opportunity for the players to reconnect with their former teachers, Housemaster, and other members of our support team.
Dr Vicky Fogg, Housemaster of Wootten House said: "What an absolute joy to watch our current and OO girls play today! I really am very proud of every single one of them! Hopefully the first of many such events!”
Victoria Watson, our Head of Hockey and Netball, added: “It was lovely having the old girls back. Reminiscing about their happy memories of The Oratory and talking about their experiences and courses at university. It was great to see they had not lost their netball skills!! It was a delight to umpire a close fought game and I look forward to next year's match. OO Player of the match was awarded to Georgie Hector (Loughborough University)".
