U6th Former wins Gold in the 56th Chemistry Olympiad
Congratulations to Jake in U6th Form who has achieved the highest possible award of Gold in the Royal Society of Chemistry's 56th Chemistry Olympiad.
Designed to challenge and inspire, the UK Chemistry Olympiad (UKChO) is the leading chemistry competition for secondary students in the UK and offers a unique opportunity for students to push themselves further and excel in the field of chemistry. It aims to help students develop critical problem-solving skills, learn to think more creatively and offers the opportunity to test their knowledge in new, real-world situations.
Caryn Harward, Assistant Head (Teaching & Learning) and Lead Teacher of Chemistry at The Oratory says "We are very proud of Jake's achievement. The Chemistry Olympiad is a very challenging competition with only 8% of candidates awarded Gold level!"
Well done Jake from everyone here at The Oratory School.
