The programme includes analysing operations, improving current infrastructure performance, and introducing low-carbon energy and technologies. Below are just a few key examples of how we are helping our environment.

The largest decarbonization project that the school has recently undertaken is the installation of a large photovoltaic array on the Sports Centre complex, with an annual projected yield of 35,000 kWh. The Estates team has also been busy installing LED lights throughout the school with circa 60% of our teaching blocks now completed, and electric car charger points in the car park.

The Oratory continues to run a successful laptop and mobile ECO recycling scheme in partnership with SOFEA, a Didcot based charity that supports the Getting Oxfordshire Online initiative, which aims to help tackle the digital divide and get everyone online across Oxfordshire.
