Oratory Hockey 1st XI Team become Berkshire Schools’ League Winners for Third Consecutive Year
The Oratory is delighted to announce that their 1st XI Hockey team has won the Berkshire Schools’ Hockey League for 2023, a third consecutive year
The league win was secured on Friday 1 December when The Oratory Hockey 1st XI team played their final league game 4-0 against Claire’s Court, with goals from Millie Andijah, Immy Martin, Millie Roberts and Anya Parry. This result gave the team an almost unbeaten season with 6 wins against Claires Court, Holyport College, Leighton Park, Reading Blue Coat, Reddam House, Shiplake College and 1 loss.
Victoria Watson, Head of Oratory Hockey says, “I’m immensely proud of our girls on this fantastic achievement. Many of them do not play hockey outside of school, so they have worked very hard to achieve this result, especially with such tough competition from our competitors. Oratory Hockey continues to go from strength to strength, with our U15 XI having just been crowned Oxfordshire Champions too. What a season!”
